Assemble the bundle, then sign it.
A contract is rarely one file. It is an agreement, three exhibits and a schedule that arrived at different times. This is the shortest path from that pile to one numbered, signed document.
For solicitors, in-house counsel and anyone who has been asked to "just get it signed today".
Why it usually goes wrong.
Two things go wrong here. The exhibits end up in the wrong order, and the page numbers in the index stop matching the page numbers in the file. Both are caught by the other side, and both make the document look careless.
The order that avoids it: merge first, number second, sign last. Numbering before merging renumbers everything and the index is wrong again.
In this order
Every step runs in the tab
Merge the parts, in order
Drop the agreement and the exhibits in and drag them into the sequence the index promises. The result is a new file; the originals are untouched.
Open Merge PDFFix the order before you commit
If an exhibit landed in the wrong place, move it here rather than re-merging. This rebuilds the file with only the pages you keep.
Open Organize PDFNumber every page
Numbers are stamped as real text, so they stay selectable and searchable. Choose a corner that does not collide with the footer already printed on the agreement.
Open Page numbersSign the last page
Draw, type or upload the signature and place it. Add a Certificate of Execution page if the other side wants a hash of exactly what was sent.

- This cannot redact. Cropping hides content from view but the text stays inside the file and is recoverable — do not use crop to remove privileged material.
- The signature is not a qualified electronic signature under eIDAS, and it carries no trusted timestamp. If the other side requires either, this is not the tool for that document.
- A scanned bundle with no text layer cannot be searched or converted to Markdown here. OCR exists only in the contract scanner, and it reads the page images rather than repairing the PDF.
- Nothing is emailed on your behalf. The signed file downloads to you, and sending it is your step.
Doing this weekly?
A practice signing twenty bundles a week is buying a seat count, not a subscription. Invoiced annually, no accounts to provision.
